Where the Streets Have No Lanes

Last Christmas I did a Sigrid Thornton and moved out of the city for what I hope is going to be ever. I’d like to say, for the sake of brevity, that I was inspired to do this by the Seachange TV show. But in truth I was more directly motivated by the lyrics of the Creedence song “Lookin’ Out My Back Door.” One day it suddenly struck me that unless I took radical action, I was never going to get to live in a house like the one described by John Fogerty in that song.
